Well this is my ‘Re-purposed Thursday’ item……We have this lovely local man who does up old sewing machines…a few weeks back he came into the Dealership and said he had two machines that he was doing up (and yes I bought them both)…this is the first one….I am sure this little beauty created so many beautiful items in it’s day…but now, it will  sit in our home just to look pretty…..so I guess this is re-purposed……

Tuesday Treasure….my lovely tray mobile….which I use as a hall stand…this little beauty was owned by my DH’s grand mother….not sure how old it is……I should try and find out ……...but I just love this old piece..

Club Quilt……

 

Lovely flowers for me……my very dear friend Sheila a Club Quilt member (who is visiting form England) came to Club Quilt today and look what she had for me, these gorgeous flowers….they are just so beautiful….Sheila is one amazing friend, we have missed her so much…..

Today's slice……Fruit Walnut Slice with Caramel Icing….it was very nice, the icing took me nearly half an hour to make!!!!!…..I will do a post on the recipe….

And this is what I was working on today…..my second stitchery for “Stitching Round The Block”…I finished one last night and hope to get his one completed tonight….

Always nice to catch up with friends…

 

Last Saturday…the local 25 Club held a Craft Extravaganza Day…..Kerry (Cottage On The Hill) came over with her fabric and the lovely Chookyblue was there with her cards…it was so nice to catch up with them both and of course I had to make a little purchase or two….

I have spend most of the day on the computer working…but tonight I hope to get just a little bit of stitching done…and tomorrow is Club Quilt…..

Cinderberry Stitches..Natalie Lymer….this little pattern is called “Me and My Shadow”…I have changed this a bit and I have made mine into a sewing pouch not a wallet which is what the pattern was for….I just love Natalie’s stitcheries…

Re-Purpose Thursday…

This is my re-purpose “gelignite” crate…..I purchased this lovely crate at Nundle a few years ago…my DH could not believe I paid money for this, but I did…I gave it a quick wipe out, rolled up a quilt and popped it in there…..check out the oil stain on the side..and how about those dove tail joints…….

Tuesday Treasure

Tuesday Treasure……I was one of those mums who was always on some sort of committee or fundraising group…back in 1987 I was on the Pre-School Committee….we decided at the beginning of the year we would put in a new kitchen at the Pre-School…it was a big year of fundraising and we did raise enough money for the kitchen plus more…..the Pre-School teacher at the time made the 7 of us on the fundraising committee one of these wall hangings…. …and the little verse is

FIS (our online stitching group)….Paper bag swap….this is what I created for my partner Dawnie…Dawnie did the cute little stitchery on the front and she also supplied two of the fabrics, plus the check trim that I used inside..….The gorgeous little pins which I have added were made by the very talented Manda….
