  1. Sometimes I can make such a mess. Today was some organizing and then playing with my new sewing machine. I really need to stick to one project at a time. That might help me keep things more orderly!

  2. Yah Peg, we are united in our mess! So easy to make and such a pain in the butt to tidy up!! I think it is the season for tidying as their are a lot of like minded bloggers out there at present.

  3. I don't know how one could be creative without making a bit of a mess. Of course, I say that -- and I wouldn't DARE take a picture of my sewing area right now. It looks like an explosion occurred!!

  4. Is it possible to quilt and not have a mess, Peg? I don't think so! My sewing room is a bit of a mess at the moment and I am a neat-freak, but not stressing at this stage (lol)!

  5. Hi Peg.
I've been doing the same as you .... cleaning up my sewing room. I have far too much stuff to squeeze into it and it's always the messiest room in the house. Also finished my SSCS gifts today. Yippee!

  7. Great, to have your own sewing room! I have my fabrics and needles, threads etc. all over the house, sometimes not knowing where what is, but knowing it has to be somewhere. I try to organize myself every now and then, but eventually things appear all over the house again.
    Have a wonderful week!

  8. Hey Peg! You can come and organise my sewing room for me when you're finished if you like!! Actually, it's not as bad as it sometimes gets - the problem is that I'm always working on lots of projects that all need different fabrics or embellishments and so I go looking ... and they're always at the bottom of the pile ...! I'm sure other have the same problem. But you turn out so many wonderful quilts - who cares about the mess! Keep creating! Bear Hugs! KRIS

  9. Peg, Don't you think that cleaning up can be freeing?? I do feel so much better when my studio is clean and organized. I can seem to get a lot more accomplished in a shorter period of time. Can't wait to see your results!

  11. I love your new background. Is there a source for these or did you create it yourself?
Your sewing room is huge. I like it.

  13. Peg, I love the color of your sewing room walls! You were brave to pick such a dark color for your work space, but wow....it really is fantastic. You have a great color sense.
I liked looking at all your great stuff in your sewing room.

  14. I love looking at people's sewing spaces! My table is clean but my stash is a mess. Quilting is just a messy business, I think. I'm forever pulling fabrics and procrastinating on putting them back neatly.

  17. You did a great job! When I start cleaning up my sewing room, I never get finished because then I find a pattern I had forgot, or remember an idea I had with some fabric, and can't wait to start on that new project... Right now I have a problem to find my cutting mat at the table, so I think I just HAVE to clean up!!! :)

  18. I wondered what got into all those Aussies cleaning up their places. But yes, I remember now: Spring has come back and injected you with new energy. While we Europeans are building walls of clutter around us to keep warm in winter. My sewing room is a mess and I'm afraid it has to stay that way for some time. No volunteers so far and I hate doing it.

  19. When my DH complains about the mess, I always say, he who never made a mess, never made anything! The mess goes hand in hand with the creativity. Well, keep telling yourself that!
