Melbourne Cup

Well I was able to do catch up on the weekend on my Capricorn Quilt BOM's...this now makes 8 completed blocks......Melbourne Cup Day today, this is when Australia stops to listen or watch a horse race........I hope everyone has placed their bets and have gone in a few sweeps.....I am going for number 7.......Good Luck to everyone...if we win we could buy some fabric......I wonder who will win this year...?????...probably not number 7.

  1. yes - I have made my annual donation to the office sweep.....does anyone else have someone in the office who wins everything they enter - one girl went in three sweeps last year and won all of them...if I drew the same horse in three sweeps you can bet on it that it wouldn't finish in a place! Just the odds of drawing the same horse in three different draws is incredible in itself I think!!

  16. I was really amazed that live stood still in Australia on M. Cup Day. Even in Sydney, where we lived. Never won either, had no idea of horse racing :-)
