I listened to one of Jackie's podcasts (which was so fantastic thanks Jackie) recently and she was chatting to Marie Bostwick the writer of these books….the story line sounded so good I just had to get a copy …these have just arrived from the Book Depository…..so I was just wondering who else has read these and what do you think…
A bit more practising with the pounce pad…made this little table runner and added a bit if a design to the outer border….
Friday..thank goodness…..it has been a big week……
take care Peg….:>)
You will never find time for anything. If you want time, you must make it.
very cute! love the quilting
ReplyDeleteI got the first book from the local library and it was great. I loved it.
ReplyDeleteI found out about Marie the same way you did, it was a great interview.
I also managed to find a copy of her very first book "Fields of gold" on Ebay at a fantastic price.
I am happy to "LOAN" it to you if you ever want to borrow.
Your quilting looks great Peg and so does your table runner. I must get to and practice some machine quilting too. I havent read those books...Hugs Vicki
ReplyDeleteNice table runner. I've read and enjoyed both of those books! :0)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any but they surely look interesting. What kind of stories are they?
ReplyDeleteI found both these books at my local library and enjoyed both of them.
ReplyDeleteThe table runner looks fab too!
Darn - I was just at the library today and forgot to look for these! I'll try to find that book next week.
ReplyDeleteYour little table topper is so pretty, good job with the quilting, Peg!
Gosh they look like great books Peg from everyone's comments. Will have to request them from our library also. Hope you enjoy them
ReplyDeleteI just finished "A Single Thread" and loved it! Am in the process of getting the second one and I know it'll be as good as the first. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI've gotten all 3 recently :)
ReplyDeleteI'm reading a 'thread of truth' at the moment.
Happy reading!
Hi Peg... I just love the story in Marie Boswick books... There is a third one out and I do not remember the title because I read it some time ago and I passed it on to my friends.... I can't wait to get the next one... :)
ReplyDeleteI had Marie on my blog too, she writes great books for quilters.
ReplyDeleteI have a pounce pad but I haven't tried it yet. I think I'll copy you and use it on a smaller quilt. Thanks for the idea!
I have read "A Thread of Truth" and just ordered the other one. They are great stories that show how quilting and friendship help women through times of crisis. They also have a great example of how to use a rotary cutter for self-defense : )
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy them.
