Wack and Stack or is it Stack and Wack...
Doesn't matter .....this is the quilt where you have 9 fat quarters.....and you cut through the nine pieces on an angle, move the three top ones to the bottom sew the nine fat quarters back together which means you now have a fat quarter made from two fabrics....cut it again in a different direction, rotate the fabrics again, sew back together, keep going until you have something that you like and then trim your blocks and sew in rows of three, add a boarder if you would like or you can tram between the blocks before you sew them and you have a quilt top.

My attempts at different crafts...
My very dear friend Dale http://day-daysblog.blogspot.com/ and I have been known to dabble in the odd craft or two....up until we found our true passion quilting....I hope to be able to share with you over the next few posts some of the things we had a bash at......
Teddies....well I must admit we both really enjoyed doing this and we did make the odd bear or two or three or four or twenty or.....and we did go to the markets and we did sell a few..and I am sure a few fell apart, but anyway we had fun, we met some lovely people and here are a few of the bears that I kept....

We have quilting tomorrow and we generally take along some morning tea, I was going through one of my favourite books "Women's Weekly - Cakes and Slices" and came across "Chocolate Fruit Slice with Lemon Icing" I haven't made this for a while but it is very quick and easy and so tasty....so here it is...enjoy

Grease 23cm square slab tin, I use a small slice tin, and spray it with cooking spray.
Combine sifted dry ingredients, sugar, fruit, coconut and choc bits in a large bowl, stir in eggs and butter, press mixture evenly into a prepared pan, bake in moderate oven for about 25 mins. Stand 10 mins before spreading with icing. Cool in pan before cutting.
Lemon Icing

Old family singer
This is the last of my old machines which I have just had restored...the machine was in my mother-in-laws garden shed, exposed to the elements, all the kids, grandkids use to hammer nails into it...it was very very sad, a local fellow came and had a look and thought there was no saving our old machine except for the base.....but as you can see he could not save the top too many nails but did a fantastic job on the rest....number 3 son is a builder and I am still waiting for him to build a top for me.....
