My Secret Project….

This is what I made on our recent retreat at Cottage On The Hill…

There is a bit of a story…..….my very dear friend Kerry had designed this from a card I had given to her a while back….when Kerry received some new fabrics in the store Bali Pops she came up with this fantastic pattern to show off the fabric…..

I rang Kerry last week to say please organize a surprise project for me….so….when I arrived in Nundle she asked me to select some fabrics…A jelly roll of Bali Pops Pink Lemonade was what I selected in ….still having no idea what I was making, my first instruction was to make 24 blocks which was a square in a square….still no idea…then Kerry  produced the star that she had made, and said, that’s what you are making…shock horror……I have never attempted anything like this….(but how could I say no)……anyway I made the star, and I decided to raw edge applique the star onto the black fabric, I added the borders and then Kerry surprised me again….. my next instruction was to add prairie points to the outside….so here it is…..

thanks for making me go outside my square Kerry….I did love the challenge…..

(I think my quote today is perfect)…

Happy Thursday

Take Care Peg…

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive.
