"Melbourne Cup" day here in Aus...Where I work we have taken today as our "Picnic Day", so no work today, this is the first Melbourne Cup day I have had off in ...I don't know 20 years probably...guess what I am doing....staying home, I will watch the race on telly, this is the day that Australia stops to watch a horse race and that is exactly what we do....each year I pick horses by colours, names, numbers but this year I have selected the horse by the riders name, if their name is the same as my 3 sons (christian or middle name) I will put a bet on that horse.....my chances are as good as the next I reckon...at our retreat I made up the table runner from the little stitcheries I was working on last week....the fabric range is 'Mill House Inn" Moda..Fig Tree and Co...the pattern is called "Say It With Flowers" which was printed in Australian Country Threads Vol 7 No 12 - 2007....I did change the borders on this......but I am really happy with it.....If you are betting today "Good Luck"......have a grand day...
