On Friday I received a parcel in the post from my very special friend Dory…it was a gorgeous panel of these amazing girls...I will show you what I have done very soon....
Dory you are just so thoughtful...massive hug to you....
And I have been playing with this as well....
Early hours Friday Morning we had a call from DS1....he was a little stressed...(that made the mummy stress)...he went to bed with a migraine, he woke and his cheek was numb on one side of his face and it was swollen...he went to the medic (DS1 works in the mines) wait to see what happens - no change overnight, yesterday, they drove him into Derby to the hospital....
The doctors have diagnosed Bell's palsy, now we wait.....at least we have a name for it......
Happy Sunday, take care, keep safe
Peg

I've had Belle's Palsey and it's no big deal really. Tell DS not to let cold air blow on him like a direct vent of AC or a fan. I was doing that at night and woke with BP. The Drs. did not tell me about the cold air, but it worked for me. HIH
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear the sad news, hope he gets better soon..xx
ReplyDeleteAll the best - its scary when they are so far away too. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteLove that panel.
Being a mum never ends! Hope your son is ok soon......and you recover from the early morning call! Lovely pile of fabrics there. X
ReplyDeleteI hope its nothing serious Peg! Must be so heartbreaking when your littlies are sick!! Wishing him a speedy recovery xx
ReplyDeleteHow scary for your son and for you!! Hope he is recovering well...
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts & wishes go out to you and your son.
ReplyDeleteHi Peg,
ReplyDeleteJust happened upon your blog and read about your son. I'm so sorry. Please be aware that Bells palsy and headaches are 2 of many symptoms of Lyme disease (and co-infections). Yes, it is prevelent in Au. For info, there are local support groups or go to lymediseaseassociation.org, for more links. Of course, it may not have anything to do with Lyme (fingers crossed!). I hope he will be fine in no time!
I hope Luke is already recovering and that his case clears quickly. I know it can sometimes take some time, but I taught a girl who was diagnosed with it and she made a very quick recovery - about 10 days off school and she was fine again. We never stop worrying do we.
ReplyDeleteHope your 'baby' has a speedy recovery Peg - I have known a few people who have had BP and their recovery times have varied. Staying away from direct cold air on their face has helped and some have had great success with acupuncture. It is common in 'old bikers' - riding their bikes with half face helmets in cold air!!!
