I have made a bit of progress on my little applique projects…
Now, I do have a question to ask….
Do you have lots of projects on the go?
or are you a
“One project at a time person”…!!!!!!
now, you must be honest with your answer…..
LOL…..thanks…..
Happy Tuesday, take care, keep safe
Peg
I try to be a one project at a time person... but, I usually wind up having about 3-4 projects on the go! lol! Right now I have a hooked rug, a wool quilt and a cross stitch all in various stages... so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI usually try to not have too many on the go but something has happened this year and it's getting out of control. I'm working on about 8 projects at the moment!
ReplyDeleteLots.
ReplyDeleteMMMMmmm if I'm totally honest I have to admit to having five crochet blankets on the go as well as about a dozen stitcheries and don't get me going about the quilts etc.... that are starting to pile up, I may just have to hang my head in shame. So the answer to your question is a big fat NO I'm not a one project at a time girl LOL :) Barb.
ReplyDeleteAlways lots on the go dear Peg! Try to rein it in, then I get so easily distracted....look, shiny! What was I saying?
ReplyDeleteLots. I promise myself i'll get them all done & just be a 1 project at a time person but it never happens. :) Love your flowers. Hugs,xx
ReplyDeleteLots - probably about 4 main ones at a time - but a lot more "lurkers"...and I could never be a one project at a time - I need variety - I need hand sewing for TV nights and machine things for other times.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!!! I have so many projects...way too many to even count. I am thinking maybe 50....60.....80......????
ReplyDeleteMany - delightfully many! I love it - never get bored - and I do finish things eventually...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a few on the go at once. Need the variety of some hand and machine work, and quilting........and short and long term projects. I try to be disciplined with finishing things, helps keep the ufo's under control. I'm pretty ruthless if it becomes obvious I won't finish a project......I find it a new home where it will be finished or bin it.
ReplyDeleteI have heaps on the go!!
ReplyDeleteI, too, have too many on the go, but never suffer from boredom. Sashiko, a few quilts (oh, dear), knitting for a cause (penguin jumpers at the moment - I aim to stop at 10), and have a few stitcheries I would like to commence, but not game to just yet. I also have some ideas for personal quilt designs, but will leave leave bubbling in the back of the brain for now.
ReplyDeleteCute flowers you're growing there.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely lots of projects on the go...always! One for every mood and occasion.
Looks like I'm keeping good company.
Lots....I try to keep it to workable amount ....hehe... Dosent always workout :) lovely flowers that you are working on .
ReplyDeleteHi Peg, always lots, I get bored easily with one thing - but then get excited and start too many new projects! I like to have a bit of variety xx
ReplyDeleteLots of projects, happening at once. At the moment working on three, just finished a huge one. Need to start a quilt for my niece for her wedding, just over 12 months to get it made.....aghhhh
ReplyDeleteHonestly??? Of course not! Lots of projects on the go at once. I find that I don't always feel like doing the same thing and it is nice to stitch for your mood sometimes. Your applique is pretty.
ReplyDeleteReally? I have 3 multi pieced quilts, one of which has 3500+, plus others to quilt, and Christmas gifts I am working on, aaaaannnndddddd.....D.G. L
ReplyDeleteoh Peg i have lots on the go,i am naughty,i try to get them all finished though ,lol,i dont know where they all come from, lol.Your blocks are lovely Peg and i love your quote, hope you have an awesome day my friend.xx
ReplyDeleteLots in varying stages of 'development'..and some of them have been hidden away for longer than I care to think about..my problem is that I am always seeing something fabulous that other bloggers are working on and I think..oh that looks good..and then there is something else waiting for me to do!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your blocks and the saying today..
haha... yes, more than one on the go .... what about you?
ReplyDeleteHugz
I usually have several projects in different stages. Don't want to get bored!
ReplyDeletewell.....sometimes I wished I was a one project girl but reality is I have hundreds on the go at once.........ok maybe not quite hundreds but maybe 1/2 a hundred......I started a list when I moved to the chookshed and it was bad......really bad.....but you only live once I say so do what makes you happy.........ok so maybe I do have 100 on the go!!!!
ReplyDeleteFar to many on the go for me Peg!
ReplyDeleteOhh I have lots on the go plus heaps to lol variety is the spice of life lol x
ReplyDeleteI think you can't even imagine how many projects I have on the go... LOL! That's why it seems that I never finish anything ;)
ReplyDeleteI have lots of projects going at one time...
ReplyDeleteI'm a bad girl - lots on the go, lots in my head and lots of fabric in the studio!
ReplyDeleteHugs - Lurline.
Of course as a true quilter I have A LOT of projects going on at all time. Stored in boxes and drawers, and some (several) even forgotten a long long time LOL
ReplyDeleteI guess that depends on what you mean by on the go! I have a top that needs a back which I am pondering while I work on a Project Linus quilt. I have a project for my husband that is in designing stage as well as another project that he is supposed to help me with. Then there are crochet blankets that get worked on when I have a moment and cross-stitch projects either started or want to be started... So I guess I am a lots of projects person! I do try not to let my quilt tops secretly multiply and become out of hand! Love your flowers! K-
ReplyDeleteI was told to always have at least three projects on the go (one to draw and cut, one for piecing and one for quilting). So I obey that rule. More is fine, less in not acceptable. And then I started stitching as well, so there are a few projects on the go there.... No, I can't say I am a one project at a time person!
ReplyDeleteI have a few on the go at once... because I get different amounts of time to work on a project so no matter how much of the hour I have, I have something to put my hands on. Embroidery, knitting, applique... or sewing.
ReplyDeleteI also may need MoRe fabric to finish a part of the project as I continually change my mind...so its put aside and I go work on something else. Whoever said quilters were fickle...ha! well we aren't~ we're super organised and fantastic time managers! :)
Sadly I am now a person with heaps on the go which for me is disappointing as I was always a "1 project at a time " girl but who cares and who is counting lol
ReplyDeleteHelen
I have a lot on the go, and a lot more in my brain that are wanting to be done *sigh* it never ends
ReplyDeleteLoving your blocks Peg and of course I have many projects on the go. I like to have a few stitcheries in case I get sick of one :)
ReplyDeleteLOL - now what do you think, Peg :)
ReplyDeleteLovely flower blocks.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have lots on the go. Sometimes I will concentrate on one from start to finish and other times I will do bits from each one.Variety is a wonderful thing!
A few on the go...some at a standstill...some at a no go....then there is the wishlist......
ReplyDeleteWell let's count...I only have three quilts on the go at the moment, usually it's more like five or six. But then I have to count the fabric and patterns I haven't started....hmmm...let's not go there. Then there are the two table runners, the jumper I started knitting. Oh! I nearly forgot, I have about four or five cross stitch kits. So I guess that answers your question. Too many projects are not nearly enough.
ReplyDeletePeg I'm hopeless - I always have LOTS on the go. They all seem to get finished eventually
ReplyDeleteOne at a time? Are you serious? I have so many projects on the go that I don't know what they are or where they are. Guess I will discover them all when we move in a few weeks, yikes!
ReplyDeleteIs there really (honestly) one project person? :)
ReplyDeleteI have lots of UFOs and some projects in process :)
Hugs,
Tatty
Always lots on the go at one time. A bit of this & a bit of that 7 a bit of something else. Definitely no time to get bored.
ReplyDeleteOh peg...so many comments... I have to wonder why you have posed the question? ...LOL. Are you feeling guilty or are you a finisher who now has more than one project...Hee.. Hee.. I would say I have ...mmm...lots.. Darling Peg you are always showing us beautiful things finished. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI have several projects on the go...I need to start focusing more on getting one done before I start another...but if I run into problems or make a mistake that I have to correct...I like to be able to put that one aside and work on something different...
ReplyDeleteI have always been a one project at a time person. But, since I retired last summer....I have a couple different things going at a time. Do you do all your applique by hand? It is so perfect and looks wonderful. That is something that I am trying to teach myself. I love the look of the appliqued things.
ReplyDeleteOne at a time??? Who does that. There is not enough time and way too much fabric to have only one at a time. LOL Last count I have over 90 WIPs.
ReplyDeleteHere there is a quilt, over there is a quilt, all over is a quilt. One quilt at a time? Who knew??
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be a one-project-at-a-time person, but every time I try that I go into "hey, a squirrel!" mode - far too many half done projects around my house!
ReplyDeleteUsually, there are about 5 projects on the go at any one time. If I was smart, only one project would result in something done sooner rather than later.
ReplyDeleteHi Peg - oh you've got a few really funny responses to your question here! I've loved reading them! For some years I only cross stitched & kept myself to one project at a time - but these days, I am most certifiably a multi-projects girl.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of projects on the go. It stops me from being bored and I even stitch small things without a project in mind!
ReplyDeleteLots on the go at any one given time.
ReplyDeleteMy husband thinks I should work on one project at a time, but that's not how my brain works. I usually have a lot going on. Sometimes too much! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteStill catching up on blogs after being away - have to comment here though. I join so many others and confess to having many on the go. (maybe like Chooky I can say 100, or maybe 1/2 a 100, or no maybe 100.) But who wants to count.....
