Look what I found……

I have been having a bit of a clean up, and look what I found tucked away in a cupboard…..this is a wool long stitch that I did probably 13 years ago….all I have to do is frame it…..does any one have any suggestions on the best way of doing this, would appreciate any help, thanks a lot…

Happy Monday…

Take Care Peg….

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent.

  1. Hi Peg. I'd check out Spotlight or somewhere like that. They used to have frames that went with those long stitch kits. I think you can still buy those kind of kits. It looks lovely. Hugs, Christine

  2. What a great find! You can do it yourself if you google it you should be able to find a tutorial on how to lace it up make sure you use acid free board. I have done it and it is much cheaper than paying someone to do it. Or you could make it into a cushion:O) Hope this helps. Enjoy your day!

  3. Que maravilla de trabajo!!! Es una preciosidad.

  4. How lovely to find such a treasure hiding in your cupboards... good luck with the framing....

  5. What a great find! Just lace it across the backing board that is covered with batting. I think its screaming for a shabby look frame!

  6. Oh Peg that is beautiful - no clue how you'd frame it, but I can't wait to see it done!

  7. love it Peg I have done a couple of long stitching........I have framed a couple of cross stitches.......make sure you lace it well..........I usually put some padding under the work........

  8. Hello Peg,
    Cute, cute, cute..
How about trying a bit of folk art..Go to Bunnings and find a piece of wood you think would make a great frame..Cut it to size and then when put together, you could use a crackle medium to give the frame a shabby look or vintage..There's many choices..
Good luck and am now hanging to see what you do with it..
    Hugs Michelle

  9. Such a beautiful long-stitch treasure!
I think that a cushion would be great, or you can make a bag like those cute girls do:

    Best wishes,

  10. Looks great Peg...
isn't it amazing what you find when you clean up....i have so many UFO's.....i couls invade another

  11. do all of the above or take it to the picture framers

  12. Would it fit on one of those canvas painting frames? Like Maree has done?

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment, I do enjoy reading them all...take care, keep safe, happy quilting .. Peg
