Another little project, but I do have a small problem…..when I rinsed out my stitchery to remove the pen that I had used, the thread ran…so I have debated with myself, weather I should finish it or not…I decided that I would, …I just need to sew down the bind, once that is done I will show you the finished item…….The stitchery is a Gail Pan design….

Friends…..Perfect way to end a day….

A few messages were going between my gorgeous friend Lynda and myself over the past few days..…and she was on holiday and was heading out our way…She sent me a message to say that they had arrived in Dubbo…So James and I drove into Dubbo and caught up with Lynda and John for dinner…it was such a wonderful evening, chatting, chatting and even a little bit of chatting…….Lynda and I have been online friends for a number of years and this is the first time we have met in person, I had the perfect day……Thanks Lynda and John it was so good to meet you both……xx

Today is a beautiful day in downtown Happy In Quilting land…..the sun is shining…DH is fishing so he is happy…by four legged babies are sleeping and I am having a bit of a play with my “Go”…so all is perfect…hope your day is going well…..

FIS …..

Our online stitching group FIS…we had our annual Christmas swap….it was an Advent Swap…6 gifts…starting from the 20th….I made for Lynda this sewing machine cover designed by Janelle Wind, this was the Christmas day gift and the other is a rotary cutter holder which was a gift for one of the other days…

and these are some of the other gifts I had made for Lynda as well….tea towels, Christmas table runner, covered diary and one of the other gifts was a box of chocolates…

2nd day 2012…..

I have taken down the Christmas Decorations…DH is at work…the washing is done….so why not sew…this is another little project I am working on…Last night I watched the DVD “Red Dog”….I sobbed…based on a true story, so if you are a dog lover, it is well worth the watch…

New Year's Day is every man's birthday.

Wonderful gifts from Sue in SSCS and OPAM 2012

 

And even more wonderful goodies for me…..this is my SSCS gift…how gorgeous are these, Christmas table topper with matching coaster, and these were made for me by Sue….I love them Sue thank you so much, we set them up on our outside bar, they looked fantastic, the fabrics are fantastic…. ….now to my wonderful friend Chooky, SSCS is the reason I started to blog, to join up, one of the rules was you had to have a blog…..I love this lady, she is now one of my closest friends….mwah to both Sue and Chooky…

FIS…our online stitching group…this year we did our annual SS Christmas swap with an advent theme……which was 6 gifts to be opened from the 20th…I showed the first three gifts that I received from my gorgeous very generous SS Bec last week….and these are the last of my gifts……how fantastic are they…..just check out my table runner……I must admit Bec you floored me…I love the design, the fabric is gorgeous….I was totally spoilt…and the selection of smellies was part of my final gift with the runner…….I hope you received the big hug and kisses I sent your way on Christmas day Bec ….xxxxxx
