They are done..

Every day I set myself goals……and It is always great when you achieve….I have this little motto….”self satisfaction is the best satisfaction”……and I have achieved one of my goals…. This is it…the last block….I have now completed all the appliqué on my Angel Story blocks…

It is amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it…..I completed these three blocks in a week and a half……now I need to add some borders to these little babies and then I can start joining all the blocks…

A book and a bit of show and tell….

 

 

A lovely new book…by Anni Downs…..and this is Lisa’s fault making me buy this…(well not actually making me..LOL..) I purchased the book from this fantastic online shop….…Patchwork Plus  (thanks Sarah)….lots of lovely projects in here to make…

Please meet “Snow White” (note the hair)..she is my Tuesday Treasure….she is 47 years old…..I received this gorgeous doll for Christmas when I was 5 years old….she was, what was called, a walking doll..she is 30 inches tall so to a little 5 year old she would have been a very big doll…..this is her original outfit which my Mum had made for her…..

Work and Play…..

Lots of this happening at the moment….it is ‘end of financial year” and that means heaps of work….7 days a week…..but….

I can still find just a little bit of time to stitch….this is a project I am working on at the moment….

As well as working on the last couple of blocks for my “Angel Story” Quilt….

One finished….

 

I have finished another Angels Story block…..so that means one down and two more to go……so far so good….with any luck I will get the other two finished within the week…..I also finished reading this book last night…..I have enjoyed all of the Elm Creek Books, I am waiting for a couple more to come in the post, enjoy your day.

EQ7…………has landed……….

 

My EQ7 upgrade has arrived………..a few months ago Electric Quilt Company sent out and email to say an upgrade will be available for EQ6…..it was such a fantastic price how could a girl knock it back….so look what arrived in the post…I did use EQ6 a few times but no where near as much as I should have…so new challenge….Use EQ7 …….….So who else has received the upgrade?….I have made some progress with my “Angel Story” blocks, with any luck, I should get one completed tonight, gee there is a lot of stitching in these….hope you all have a great day……..don’t forget to take a little ‘me’ time…

How cute are these pins…the lovely Manda and I had a little swap, she made these amazing owl and rose pins or me and I make a folder cover for her……but how lucky am I…these pins are just gorgeous I am thrilled with my new little collection, maybe this could the beginning of a lovely addiction…..…thanks so very much Manda…

Tuesday Treasures……hosted by Clare….this is my very first watch…this was my Christmas gift when I was about 7 or 8 and I am sure it was big on me then, as you never purchased anything that was the right size, everything you got back then you had to grow into…….LOL…the watch face is 1/2 inch…The brand is “White Star”?????….and the band measure 5 1/2 inches….I do remember I was not to get a watch until I could tell the time…..I wonder what everyone has on show today……

Club Quilt….and my own challenge…

Club Quilt today…I made this Caramel Date Slice (recipe by Kerry Swain from her new book) to take along for morning tea…..and we had a lovely roll up, always nice to catch up with the girls…

And this was my project for today….that’s it….Angels Story….I have three blocks to go and my goal this week is to get these stitched…

What a week….

End Of Financial Year……and it has been so very hectic at work….long days working too many hours…..not too much happening other than work……..

June OPAM….it was a fantastic month…..

My Tuesday Treasure….

 

Tuesday Treasures (I know it is Wednesday) I am a day late….Clare is hosting this fun little event…this is going to stir up lots of memories I think…. thanks Clare……..So this is my first little treasure…..Her name is “Cupid” and she was given to my by my Great Grandma Hawley when I was born so this little girl is over 52 years old…….My great grandma passed away when I was still very little, so I do not remember her at all…..just check out her poor little fingers, I must have been a little hungry one day….LOL…and her grubby little hands……….so this is the first of my treasures…..why not pop over and sign up with Clare …..  

It has been so cold…..this is what has been greeting me the past few mornings…..”frost” and they have been huge……bring on the heat……
