Club Quilt….and my own challenge…

Club Quilt today…I made this Caramel Date Slice (recipe by Kerry Swain from her new book) to take along for morning tea…..and we had a lovely roll up, always nice to catch up with the girls…

And this was my project for today….that’s it….Angels Story….I have three blocks to go and my goal this week is to get these stitched…

 

Found this one where I forgot to stitch her shoes…

Millie is finished...

Millicent the Magnificent Mum is now finished, this is another completed Angel, not too many now to complete, three I think....not a nice day here today it is quite warm but there is a nasty wind blowing...don't you just hate the wind?...enjoy your day...

Angels.....

Meet Angela The Animal Lover....Angela meet Blogland..............another of my angels for The Angel Story...I think I have three to go....I have them all ready to stitch...have a fantastic day everyone, life is just so hectic at the moment, the young girl who worked with me came in last Tuesday and put in her resignation (she is off to drive trucks in the mines...big money) but she only gave me 4 days notice (bummer)...I love Shell heaps and wish her all the best....thank goodness for gorgeous friends, my dear friend Dale (Day-days blog) (who worked at the Dealership for 6 years full time and then about 4 years one day a week, and prior to that we worked together for 15 years and we are also neighbours) has come to my rescue, out of retirement again, she helped me out also last year...what would we do without beautiful people like my Day-day.....once again you have saved me....

Retreat....and another Angel

Well I think I still have three Angels to do.....but the end of September is just a few days away.....my previous post I had written "Hettie the Homemaker", bit of confusion happening with my H's....she was "Harriet the Homebody"...this is "Hettie at the Hat Shop".....

Today I am heading off on a retreat...for quite a few years now several of our Club Quilt ladies have been going out to Carol's Farm twice a year (we are just so lucky).......we go on Friday and come home Sunday, and we have the absolute best time .......lots of laughs, the best food, a few refreshments and of course lots of sewing.....not a lot of sleep, but enough... lots of photos next week, I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend...

Angels Story

OK....Hettie the Homebody has some borders.....another completed block for my "Angels Story"...where has this week gone??? Thursday tomorrow.

Time is running out...I still have a few more angels to do so here is my block numbr 9 - Harriet the Homebody...hope to get a few borders around this little girl on the weekend.....have a fabulous day....

Also on Sunday at Club Quilt I added a few more borders to some of my Angels......I think I am more than half way through, but I now have to spend a bit more time preparing a few more to applique.....If you pop over to Stina's blog, this is the lovely lady who is hosting the "Angel Story Club" you can go to her side bar and you can visit a lot of other ladies who are also creating these lovely angels.......have a fabulous day......

Back to the girls....

I have been neglecting my Angels...finished another one last night and at Club Quilt yesterday I did get a chance to add a few more borders on a few so will share a photo of these over the next couple of day......

A bit more work to my Angels.....just added a few borders to a couple of the blocks, the fabric is 'very busy', but I like it......

Ch A couple more blocks for my "Angels Story".... Charlotte the Shopper, but oooppps..forgot to sew the seam up the middle of her coat....very cold here today, windy, not nice at all....oh well it is winter....

Where has this week gone...

Oh dear where has this week gone....I can't believe it is Friday again tomorrow....have not had a chance to do to much stitching this week.....I try and stitch for at least an hour each night and it is amazing what you can achieve in that time....this is my next Angel, I have neglected her this

week and this is also some of the fabric I am using for my girls....

Two Angels..........

Another Angel completed this little girl is called..."Becky the bookworm".....
I have received a treat in the post and this is a "just because" treat.....Kris sent this to me and it is filled with musk lollies and I just love must lollies....I had made mention once about tins and she just thought 'why not', so she sent me this gorgeous little tin........so very generous and so very kind...you are a sweetie thanks Kris.

Angels Story....

This is the second of my blocks for "The Angels Story...... I have two more ready to start stitching.....
