Would you please comment on whether you do any special prep when working with linen? I am working on an applique quilt with a linen foundation for each block and felt like I had to zigzag all the edges due to the raveling. Do you do anything special? Also, I'm afraid to cut the excess fabric out from under my applique for fear it will ravel. Am I being too careful?
