Last weekend at Carols retreat, we all had a giggle when Gai came out with her miners light attached to her head!!!
But we all had a go, thought what a great idea for stitching….so on Friday the DH went to the local hardware shop and now I have my very own miners light…LOL..
Not what one would call a fashion accessory!!!!!….I am sure if anyone came to our door and I forgot to remove it, they would think I had totally lost the plot…!!!!
So this lovely piece is attached to the head…there are three positions for the light, so it can be directed on what you are working on…the light is bright just perfect for stitching,…..I just had to share with you this fantastic idea of Gai’s….
Happy Monday Stitching, take care, keep safe
Peg
Ideas can be life-changing. Sometimes all you need to open the door is just one more good idea.
Had me giggling but certainly a great idea!
ReplyDeleteTis a bit funny but a great idea. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeleteIve seen this before, the hubby want to give me his hard hat which has a miners light in it...lol
ReplyDeleteIts a great idea!
Where are the photos of you modeling it????
ReplyDeleteWe might not wear it correctly. You have to show us how!
Dare ya!
LOL
excellent idea.... it will be fun to see you all in one at the next retreat!!
ReplyDeleteHugz
Don't forget to take it off before you leave the house, a tape measure around your neck is one thing, but a headlight is a bit more obvious! Good idea though.
ReplyDeleteMY sister-in-law uses one in the caravan. Says it's wonderful and doesn't disturb the hubby! :)
ReplyDeleteA great idea but just a little bit funny.
ReplyDeletewow Peg what a great idea,we are going camping soon and that would be great, thankyou for telling us.xx
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea my son has one may be I can use his LOL
ReplyDeleteA great idea. I think you should show us a photo of you wearing yours.
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing.... hubby off to the hardware shop for me
ReplyDeleteI'm with the other girls - a photo would certainly show us how good it is!! But, it certainly sounds like a wonderful idea - as long as you have extra batteries on hand!!
ReplyDeleteJohn uses one of these when he goes up the back yard at night to put out the bins and other little jobs. Great idea Peg.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great use for one of those! I think my husband has one somewhere.. hmmm.. might have to try it out. LOL
ReplyDeleteHaha... That's so funny, 3 Tassie quilters whose husbands had these for camping can occasionally be seen with these lights attached to our heads when stitching...we call them our "dickhead" lights.... Sorry for the language, but you have to admit you do feel like one when stitching with it on your head!!! Haha
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Thanks for sharing this would be great and easily portable as well.
ReplyDeleteOH Peg, I think this looks like just the ticket for my poor eyes. I'm going to see if I can find one here in the US...surely they sell them everywhere, or am I being a bit too optimistic? Big Hugs...
ReplyDeleteOne of Patch members used one on our last retreat.
ReplyDeleteWe did giggle but it works a treat....
A great idea..you can't always guarantee that there will be somewhere to plug in a lamp..so with the lamp you could stitch anywhere..
ReplyDeleteHi Peg,
ReplyDeleteI think it sounds like a lovely fashion statement. The older I get, the more light I need! I would also like to say a special thank you for the warm welcome you arranged for my new blog. It was like a big hug from faraway places and it really made my day. Thank you! Debbie
Hi Peg, Thanks for letting me know about the no reply stuff. I am hoping it is fixed now, so I've come back to leave you another message. Thank you for your help.
ReplyDeletedebbie
I love the light. I wonder if we can get them here? Is it heavy?
ReplyDeleteI am so excited my package made it to you. I was so worried. Wow, 2 months. I wonder if that is normal? Something to take into consideration in the future.
you might start a new trend with your mining light...it's a great idea...funny if you forgot about it though!
ReplyDeleteLOL ... I enjoyed the chuckle ... but I can see how great this would work in a room that doesn't have great lighting.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea I agree, Sam might find his missing soon LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I can just see my boys shaking their heads right now LOL
