A Start.....

Stitchers Angel...first project....Designed by Helen from Hugs and Kisses...lovely little Dilly Bag....this is my first bash at needle turn applique using freezer paper, I know it is a little dodgy, lots of room for improvement and it is only an oval but it is finished which is a bit of a plus...the thread I have used on this little stitchery was a variegated hand dyed thread, very nice to stitch with....I did buy this from the lovely Kerry at Cottage On The Hill...right at this moment we are in for a huge storm......lots of thunder the sky is very black...we do need the rain so much I hope it pours....have a great day everyone...

  4. And here I was wondering how you got that oval so perfectly shaped without the use of the fusible web I would need...

You've done a nice starting job on this lovely design.

  6. Hi Peg, have just got back from a week at my Mum's in Sydney and....as always its a joy to catch up on your sewing and cooking!!

It's nice to see your first Stitchers Angel design...sooooo different from mine. I did mine in blue on white bleached calico. I decided to do it as a stitchery...my favourite work. I used my Mothers sewing machine to make it up, so it will go in the mail in a day or two. Will put a post on my blog when my partner receives it.

  11. I don't know about the 'dodge' Peg, I think it looks wonderful! This one's still on my backburner - I'm attempting the needlecase first, and quite pleased with how it's turning out. Love your colour choices too.
Eyes up to the skies for more 'productive' rain this season.
