Remember this sneak peak I showed you a few weeks back ...this is what it was...a journal cover I had made this one for Tereasa, our online stitching groups latest swap....

I have been inspired again.....this time by my very special friend "Bloom".... and also by Sarah after receiving my amazing journal last night (see my previous post).....so I just had to make one today for a friend of mine......I followed Bloom's tutorial (which has been listed also on the Moda Bake Shop Blog, yes she is that good).....fantastic instructions, so this is my version. The fabric I have used is Moda..April Cornell...Vintage Holiday (can you believe I found this hidden in a bag)....so today I am inspired and it is because of Bloom and Sarah....thankyou...

Some little purchases...just one or two...the first lot of fabric I purchased from the Cobar Quilt Shop...Nancy Halvorsen 'I Believe In Santa", such a lovely range of fabric...just a bit of backing, some quilters muslin for stitcheries, Jelly roll - Hushabye, charm packs and a bit of yardage -Vine Creek, Moda and then a Christmas panel, not sure why I purchased this one but it is cute, these all came from Hancock's of Paducah.....and what a day we are having it has already reached 42 C which is 107.6 F........not pleasant at all...hope everyone is having a cooler day than we are....

A couple of months ago Maree held a very successful paper bag swap...I was lucky to have Jenny as my swap partner...Jenny designed this awesome hanging just for me...."Hearts For Peg"...I was just so thrilled, but there is more Jenny has now published this gorgeous pattern which is featured in this months Creating Country Threads (mine is just a little different just so I can have an "original", lucky me).......Congratulations to Jen on another totally amazing design.....and I just feel so special having one of her designs named after me.......just take a moment and pop over to Jen's blog to give her the thumbs up on yet another fantastic publication...
Another "Among The Gum Trees" finish....the little wall hanging designed by Cheryl, I did enjoy this project thanks so much Cheryl, hope you have all downloaded this project, if not for now save it for later on, these things never go off.........well the heat is still here, I worked later than normal last night when I was driving home after work it was still 38 degrees at 7.30.....enjoy your day.
"Nine Patch Swap" ...my blocks are all completed and they are on their way to Christine....72 blocks.....big thanks to Christine this has been fun, 24 ladies have participated in this swap, so it will be exciting watching all these blocks turn into quilts over the next few months...

Lots happening today...I have washed, ironed, vacuumed, stewed some fruit, I have also made and finished a few projects in my sewing room, a parcel has been wrapped and in a post bag to send off tomorrow.....and boy it it hot....one of those days when you go outside and walk on your pavers and wish you had put your shoes on......so I must remember when I go to move the sprinkler "put the shoes on".......but the air con is on so it is very pleasant inside...Monday again tomorrow...enjoy your day and

A finish.....I just love this stitchery designed by Judith, one of the members of "Among the Gum Tress"...I have made this bag just a little bit bigger...Judith thank you so much for this fantastic project..."Christmas Rose" gift bag.....

My parcels were sent off earlier this week for the Advent Calender Swap.....I did have so much working on all my little bits and pieces for this swap....so look out Bunny...one or two parcels are heading your way......and as for Fiona and her trusty offsider Jo, what a fantastic job they have done organizing this swap, this is going to be so good watching what everyone unwraps each day..
