Nice and easy...

It has been a while since I have done any of these...tea towels with a little applique to jazz them up, so quick and easy and such a nice little gift....on this little one I found a nice simple design, can't go past a stripped tea towel....I used heat and bond (light) to attach the design and then appliqued, using button hole stitch...quick and easy and I think very effective......these can also be done on the sewing machine....so next time you are down town pick up a few tea towels and this is the best way of using up all those scarps of fabric we always have lying around...have a great day...Wednesday, September 9, 2009
Twin girls.....

I was very inspired by Linda to make this quilt....I have friends who have just had twin girls and I thought what a perfect pattern, so this is number one, I still have a few more flowers to add and then I guess I should prep number two as well as there will be a lot of applique to do, the giraffe is about 24 inches tall.. ......so thanks Linda for the inspiration and the pattern is available here..This is a Red Rooster Pattern. I picked these spotty fabrics up from my recent trip to Nundle...Cottage On The Hill....Tuesday, September 8, 2009

A Start.....

Stitchers Angel...first project....Designed by Helen from Hugs and Kisses...lovely little Dilly Bag....this is my first bash at needle turn applique using freezer paper, I know it is a little dodgy, lots of room for improvement and it is only an oval but it is finished which is a bit of a plus...the thread I have used on this little stitchery was a variegated hand dyed thread, very nice to stitch with....I did buy this from the lovely Kerry at Cottage On The Hill...right at this moment we are in for a huge storm......lots of thunder the sky is very black...we do need the rain so much I hope it pours....have a great day everyone...Wednesday, September 2, 2009
