January Finish....

Here is my January finish for Kris and May Britt's "One Project A Month Challenge"...

I put this together a few months back and it has been lying around as a flimsy and of course this challenge was the motivation to finish.....so huge big thanks to our "Challenge Ladies'...

Another BOM

Another fantastic FREE - BOM - Gail Pan's 'A Christmas Wish', (thanks a lot Carol for reminding me about this one)...pop over to Gail's blog and check this one out, very cute.

Now, I have found these fantastic folders...ring binder, plastic folder with zip, just perfect for the BOM projects, I now have several of these on the go....Monday again, not sure what happened to last week......

Storm.....and hail

Last night we had a hail storm, thought I would share a few photos with you, thank goodness the hail was not too big, so hopefully there was no damage done......we have a tin roof on our home (lots of Australian homes have tin on their roof) and the noise as the hail was hitting the roof, I was in the shower when it started it was light an elephant was running on the roof...hope everyone gets a chance to do a little stitching today.

So so generous...

The generosity of people quite often just blows me away...just before Christmas I made a post about some lovely green glass that the Club Quilt ladies gave me....I received an email off Isabella saying she had some green glass and would I like to have it....would I like to have it, no cost, just because I collected it...see what I mean 'blow you away'...Isabella packed it up (excellent packing) and sent it to me, I received it in the post yesterday....Isabella, you are just so gorgeous, thankyou, I will cherish these pieces....hugs to you Isabella...

Another one finished...

Once again I must apologize for not answering my comments over the past few day...sending emails good....receiving emails no go....this is another of my Fat Quarter Shop Mystery BOM blocks, finished this one last Sunday at Club Quilt...I received another one in the post yesterday, I was up to date for a couple of days anyway.....it is a little cooler today, I can't believe it is Friday...so much to do...

Country Calender

The stitchery is completed for my first block of "Country Calendar" which is a free BOM, all I have to do is the borders hope to get that done on the Weekend... can you belive it is Thursday already.....enjoy your day.

Even hotter today I think..

NPNT finished these two blocks a couple of days ago...just have to add the borders, I must get back into this one as well......it was 6am when I took this photo this morning, it is just so still, the temperature was 22 degrees (Celsius), at 7 am it was 25 and it did get to 40 yesterday and today is going to be even hotter, a few clouds around, maybe, just maybe we might get some rain....have a fab day... More challenges..."Calendar Quilt Challenge"....please see side bar....check this one out, this should be lots of fun as well....

Hot day today....

Back to the Fat Quarter Shop BOM.....I really enjoyed doing this block, I have signed up for the Black and White Challenge and I quite like the idea of using this block for that, what do you think?....still having problems with receiving some emails, I have spoken to my Internet provider 'they are getting back to me in four or five days'....bummer....I am so sorry if you have made a comment and I have not responded, I am not being rude, just not receiving them....have a great day they are predicting 40 degrees (Celsius) today that is hot....

First Block and great things to sign up for...

Capricorn Quilts .....first BOM for this year...Bea once again has done a great job this is block number one....Back to work today....oh dear......

A finish...

This was also to be a finish for Finns Challenge...not quite on time but it is finished and I have put in on my dining room table....Club Quilt today not a big roll up but as always lovely way to fill in the day......back to work tomorrow after having 4 days off....I love my work, but it would be so nice to have just a couple more days off.....

A finish and a start

The pink and green quilt is all completed....bit late for Finns challenge by three days but at least it is completed.....now I am off to the sewing room to start preparing block number one of Red Delicious Mystery BOM....then off for a swim and then....not sure.....have a great day..

2009 look out.....

OK this must be the cutest thing you have ever seen, me dear friend Dale made this absolutely gorgeous ruler bag for me for Christmas.....Dale knows that I adore dogs, so the perfect gift....and their eyes move they wobble about.....I just love my bag.....Can you believe it, it is 2009.......have a great day...
