Lavender Biscuits…
These biscuits have been made with culinary lavender which is distributed by Sweet Memories Lavender Farm….I was asked by Beth if I would try out the lavender, I have never cooked with lavender before…..so today was a Club Quilt day and I thought what a perfect day to make the biscuits…..the girls all thought they were lovely, the lavender is a soft flavour, not too sweet….... “refreshing” one of the girls said, very quick and easy recipe….my DH is the manager of the Bowling Club here and he also handed out some of the biscuits to his customers……Beer and lavender biscuits…..??????….but they all thought they were very nice…..just pop over and check out the lovely range of products at Sweet Memories Lavender Farm…..
We are having lots of rain which is so good….

ReplyDeleteI guess I would have to try one, it just doesn't sound good - I love the smell of lavender but not too sure about tasting it! They sure look pretty though.
ReplyDeleteThey look interesting, I love the look and smell of lavender but never tasted it
ReplyDeleteThe biscuits were great. Tasted of lavender but very enjoyable. Thanks Peg.
ReplyDeleteI have had a lot of people when tasting a lavender lolly say that they can taste the smell. I think the same can be said about culinary lavender.
ReplyDeleteThe difference between normal lavender and culinary lavender is the camphor content. Some people are allergic to camphor so true english lavender or "angustifolia" is used for cooking as it has a very low camphor content.
The biscuits look great. Huge thank you for the big mention on your blog. :)
