Lucky Me....

Wow...what a week....new system being installed at the Dealership, very long days and today I feel all fuzzy in the head, "the flu"...yuk......I am a part of an on line stitching group..and last night was "opening night" for our first swap of the year, a table runner, and yes this is what I received...made by Tereasa, I just love the colours, I was just so thrilled last night when I opened my parcel, and I did receive it the day before and I was very strong and did not open it......Tereasa thank you so much I am over the moon, what you have made is just perfect........hope you all have a great day ....

Shaggy quilts....

These are my first shaggy quilts.....made a few years back, these squares were cut quite big, about 8 inches I think, I have used some old buttons to decorate, which my DH picked up from a Op Shop...I also used a decorative stitch in a variegated thread.......I do like making these quilts....

We are installing a new software program at the Dealership, so it has been a very hectic week r should I say weeks, lots of work done before this could happen, tonight we go live with the new system, I have no idea what time I will get home tonight......?????

Blast from the past...

Magic Hexagons......After doing this quilt at Cottage on the Hill a few years ago we had a day at our group Club Quilt, also a few years back........ the hexagon is made by using a template, so very easy and quick....I have done each hexagon from a different fabric not repeating any and it was made from scraps.....lots of fun....have a great day...

Happy Mothers Day....to all those special quilting mums out there, I do hope you are all having a very special day and you are all receiving lots of love and attention......once again it is a glorious day here....

I have completed the first nine mini blocks to make up block one of "Butterfly Garden" by Leanne Beasley.....I have run out of time today so I will have to prep block two hopefully next Sunday....have a fantastic day..... and I nearly forgot, Lynda is having a birthday, so if you have a minute please pop over and wish her a happy day.....

Coin quilt........

What a glorious day today......the weather was just fantastic.....Last weekend at Carols I finished my coin quilt......this was made with Moda...Maypole....I used a jelly roll so it was a quick easy quilt.....there is something about white fabric and bold colours it just jumps, don't you think????

Butterfly Garden

Butterfly Garden.....Leanne Beasley...its happening, I have so wanted to do this quilt for such a long time...so my lovely blogging friend Lynda and I have decided to take this little journey together....when we were at Carol's last week I started the stitching......there are nine small blocks in one large block, a fair bit of prep work, but it is happening.....(I have attached weaveline to the back of all the blocks and it looks like I need to do a bit of trimming....)

I am part of a fantastic quilting group "Club Quilt" and these ladies have been just so busy producing lots of wonderful pieces... please pop over if you have a minute and check out what they have been up to......we are having some fantastic weather at the moment, enjoy your day.

Handbag thing....

This was one of the projects form our quilting retreat at Carols.....a shaggy bag made for my son Josh's girlfriend Teen....Josh rang me and said can you make one of those raggy handbag things for Teen, how could I say no....LOL....have a great day.

Blown away...

Look what I have received in the post from Julie ..... I joined Maree's "Redwork Cushion Swap" a couple of months ago....and Julie has made all these magnificent gifts for me....I not only received this fabulous cushion I also received ...a tea holder filled with tea....a heat pack...a needle holder...I have one the lottery I think.....Julie's workmanship is exceptional....Julie thank you so very much for all my wonderful goodies I have been very spoilt and I am just so thrilled with all my gifts you have been so generous...........Maree well done to you for running such a wonderful swap.......

I'm back...

Well we are back.....and we had the best time ever......here we are in our jimmy jammers and yes we stayed in them all weekend....(we did shower and put new ones on)....Carol was our hostess....(second from the right dressed in purple)...we laughed...ate...sewed....had a refreshment of two, but what we did have was the most incredible fun, have I told you guys before that I am blessed, well I am....so truly blessed.....these ladies are awesome (Kerry is missing from the photo), to have them all in my life is just so wonderful....Carol like I said to today "you are an amazing women" you have given to all of us this fantastic weekend...... thankyou sooooooooo much.

We are off on another retreat(this is a photo of last years group)...the gorgeous lady in the top right and corner Carol (pink top) opens up her farm to us a couple of times a year....we go out there today Friday and come home on Sunday and we do have the best time ever.....we laugh, we giggle, we eat, we sew, we drink, we eat, we eat, we eat, we sew, yes and we do that all again.....lots of photos next week.......I have received just lovely emails in regards to the loss of our "Big Girl" Chloe.....thankyou you have all touched my heart....xx
