This was the kit that we received for our quilting day…..
And these are my purchases …I was very good….I am using one of the pre filled bobbins now with my “practising”….apparently they contain three times as much thread as the ones you fill yourself…does any one else use these!!!! and the amazing tape I am going to put around my threads to keep them all neat and tidy, I do have a rack, but I threads hanging everywhere…

We nave gone “SOLAR”…about 2 years ago our hot water system died so we installed solar hot water…that is the cylinder in the first photo….then a while back we decided to convert the rest of the house to solar..so here it is….we have always had ‘huge’ electricity bills, even with just the two of us in the house…we have an in ground pool and the cost of running that is not cheap…so fingers crossed we are hoping we can save a bit of money….so now we have 14 panels, 7 on two sides of the house plus the hot water solar panel……lets hope we have done the right thing…!!!!!

Nine Patch Baby Quilt….I have also made a baby bag to go with this quilt…I need to do a little bit of hand sewing to finish it off, but I will show that tomorrow…...
I have made this for the chef and his wife who have just had their second baby, a little girl… they both run the Restaurant at the Bowlie Club where my DH is the Manager, they are a lovely Chinese couple and they do look after my DH very well…. I think they experiment on James with their food as DH loves very hot chilli food….if you are ever in Narromine and you go to the Bowlie…order “Jimmies Mongolian Lamb,” bound to blow your mind…..LOL….
