Just the bind...




All that has to be done now on the quilt for my great niece is to sew the bind down...very simple quilting...large meander and I have used a variegated thread......bright and happy.....so hopefully I will get that done tonight......enjoy your day..... Monday again tomorrow and back to work...where does the weekend go...

  2. My thoughts on this quilt are still the same, love it!
    Is it hard to do meander quilting? Will it take much practice? How do you go with getting your sttich length even? Do you quilt the border separate to the rest? It looks like you might have quilted each railfence block on it's own, is this what you did?
    Sorry for all the questions; I only do inthe ditch yet and want to learn it all! I can understand why people (lots) send quilts off to be quilted but I think that nothing gives ownership to a quilt than to be involved in all the processes.

  6. It's lovely Peg - I'm just about to start quilting my first quilt with free motion quilting ..... and I'M TERRIFIED!!! I'm doing anything to avoid starting; the washing up, the ironing ... and I'm sure that floor needs cleaning!!!:0)

  15. Lovely quilt Very lucky Little girl I see you have a reel of cotton on the quilt I bought a box of Reels of cotton like that at the opp shopAnd dident know what they were used for Now I do thanks To you.
