All framed up...

We have finally done a frame to complete this stitchery...very simple frame made from hardwood, my DH actually went to our local timber yard and picked up some scraps..they mitered the corners for us, (my son Josh the builder has been too busy to make up some frames) but he did glue the four pieces together....and I did the rest... so it was a combined family effort......

Few more rows added...

A progress shot on my black and white quilt......I think two more rows...then a scrappy border and finished off with another black border....what do you think??? open for comments....

Baby Quilt Number 2

This is the second of the quilts that I made on the weekend....this time for a little girl....now all I have to do is quilt them, but that's where I fall in a a bit of a heap, these are not going in the cupboard......LOL.....

Babies...Babies and even more.

Sunday we had a lovely day at "Club Quilt" .....this is one of two baby quilts that I made....I have three work mates whose wifes/partners are having babies, another work mate (from years ago) and I also have a niece having her first baby, so I thought I should get in front with all of this or these babies will be born and no quilts.....the range is Moda (of course) - Peek-a-boo....simple charm pack, peeper of white and border.

Cottage on the Hill retreat

Made this one a couple of years ago at Kerry's - "Cottage On The Hill", it is one of our annual retreats, this year I think will be year number 7...we usually head over to Nundle early Friday morning it is about a 4 hour drive from Narromine....and we travel back on the Monday...we always have the best time and Kerry really looks after us...very spoilt we are...this pattern is called "Le Jardin"...love the fabrics and I have inserted a bit of chenille for a bit of a different look...

Honey Bear...Flowers and Bees....

Our group "Club Quilt" met today and what a lovely day we had, I had a very productive day will show some photos later on of what I achieved.
Yes this is another one (you know finished top)...."My Favourite Things" - "Honey Bear...Flowers and Bees...: by Kerry Gillespie....my nephew and his wife were having their baby and I was making this for them, but they had a little boy and I thought the stitcheries were more for a little girl, so I decided to make another quilt for my great nephew...anyway I have another niece having a baby, she may have a girl....or I may even hang onto it just incase I might become a grandmama...

Mystery Quilt

This quilt top has also been finished for quite a while, yes folded up waiting for that special person to complete it for.....We held a workshop a few years back and we had to buy three different fabrics....a light, a dark and a contract, so these are the three that I came up with, it was my first ever purchase from O/S ......Moda...Cinnamon Stars...

How many more????

This is another kit that I purchased from Kerry - 'Cottage on the Hill', as you can see the top is finished and that is as far as I have gone....I think I should count how many of these little things I have tucked away.......

Would love to hear who else has loads of completed tops folded neatly and put away in their cupboards.....waiting for that special occasion..........not sure what it is.........but it will happen.......well thats the excuse I use..........so how may do you have????????....

Peg's Version

Yes another one of those tops completed, but that's all, I really must send it to Betty to be quilted (this one is far too big for me)....I purchased the fabric from Kerry at 'Cottage on the Hill' (this lady has the best range of fabric ever) a couple of years ago....and I have always admired a pattern of Kerry's 'Stargazing with Friends' I think that is the name...but I wanted to make the block a lot smaller, so I adapted the pattern with help from Kerry and this is the finished product....If I had to describe myself and the only thing I could use was colours, this is what I would come up with......This is made from Thimbleberries......

Three to go...

This is block number 9 and there are only three more to go.....I must admit I have been enjoying doing these little fellows, have no idea why I stopped in the first place, but I guess it is the same old thing, a better offer came along.....

This one is finished....

I have now completed the second quilt..... I have made this from Moda - Mistletoe Manor - charm pack - once again very simple, I have added a small pepper and a boarder...I just love the spot, spots and stripes just add so much to a quilt......
