An Experiment…..

DSCN0566DSCN0567

I have two bosses….one, whom I have worked for since 1975…..a long time…He does a lot of   overseas travelling and he always brings something back for me….so very generous…..

On his last trip, which was to China you bought back several pieces of silk, this was one of them…it was too beautiful to cut…..so I rang Julie and asked if she could quilt it as a single piece and she did….and she has done a fantastic job for me…..our bedroom is all timber, wall paper and it still has its fireplace…so it now lives in there on a rosewood chest that was my 21st prezzie from my parents….

Happy Monday……

Have a totally awesome day…

  1. Gorgeous! It is a "whole cloth" quilt and perfect in your room. Sometimes I have used a piece of wonderful fabric as a quilt back because I could not bear to cut it. Then my quilt has 2 beautiful sides.

I think I made the mistake of thinking it was the backing for your last quilt when I saw it in your last post.
