Massive sigh at my end of my world……I HAVE DONE IT!!!!!!!……I have always worked full time plus, as well as doing a few BAS returns each quarter, well I have stopped those BAS returns, except for one that only takes a couple of hours, (family friend-very special)….it is like a massive weight has been lifted from my shoulders……no more being dropped things that are due in one day!!!!, no more chasing up what is this payment for!!!, no more taking time out of my holidays because someone dropped something in that was due yesterday!!!! no more thinking to myself, oh they haven’t had a good quarter, so I can’t charge them too much for the hours I have worked!!!!!!…..

thanks for listening…..LOL….

So I am going to have a giveaway to celebrate…

it will be something hand made by me……

if you would like to enter please make a comment and let me know what sort of work you do…and yes housewife/mother is a job………

this is what I did on Sunday after my FINAL BAS was done!!!!!!……

SEW……

good luck, hope you will join in my celebration…..

Peg

  32. Congratulations Peg! More time to sew (or just sit down once and a while, with a cuppa!). I used to be a secretary, for years. Then I got sick and am deemed unemployable.... Soooooo.....My work is mostly voluntary. There is this foundation in The Gambia, Second Home, where we run a living accommodation for special needs children. And then there is worldaidunited.org. Where we try to get foundations and private initiatives to work together more, in order to improve aid given. Mind you, it does take up most of my time......

Enjoy your freedom! :) Barb.

  40. I work part-time at my profession: Clinical Psychologist. I'd love to retire (70), but poor financial planning has made that impossible. So I quilt for myself and would love to expand to quilting for others. That will have to go in the future. Hope I win.

  63. Hi Peg. I am not sure what BAS means, but I think you are saying that you are retiring? I am a registered nurse, interviewing patients over the phone, getting them and their charts ready for their upcoming surgeries. I guess you could say I am semi-retired. I work 1-4 days a month. The rest of the time, I am very involved with my quilt guild, bicycle for exercise and recreation, and travel to visit my granddaughters up in northern California. Thank you for the opportunity to enter your drawing. It would be wonderful to win!
