OPAMers…….can you believe it…its the last day of Feb….so how is every one going with their finishes…I have already received lots of email and  sounds like everyone has been very busy, and February has been a great month for finishes.…please update your sidebars, and if you could send either Kris or I an email with you totals that would be awesome….

A few little goodies for me….My hope to be, if I am lucky DIL, Teen, her sister is having a baby and Josh and Teen have asked me to make a baby quilt..So I purchased these two charm packs of “Boys Will Be Boys”…I also added to my order this hexagon template, can’t wait to use this,….I bought these from Jane at Want it, Need It, Quilt….Jane has a great blog as well as a wonderful online shop…….and the last photo are some charm squares that Jane thought I could use to make a little something….how thoughtful was that….so go for a little visit, and pop over and see what Jane has in her store and have a read of her blog…Jane’s service is fantastic….

Lucky lucky me…..

Club Quilt day……and as always, we did have a lovely day…..I was working on my Club Quilt BOM…Scandinavian Christmas by Lynette Anderson…the girls have made some wonderful progress with their blocks, I will do some posts over the next few days on our Club Quilt Blog of their first blocks..

Today for morning tea I made Double Choc Caramel Slice…..so very rich but yummy….the recipe is from Kerry Swains first book “Blackberry Jam and Cream”

Kobo…..

 

My new toy…..Kobo e-Reader…and I just love it….I have always loved reading, but after having the kids and being so busy with them, I just didn’t have time to read anymore…about 18 months ago I started again and I now read every night….sometimes it might only be for 15 mins, ….….so I was getting a bit of a collection of books…where to keep them…I had read a few reviews on the e-readers and for the price I went with Kobo….I purchased mine thru Borders, great service…

Over 10 years old…..

 

This was another of the lost and found tops…..and this one is the oldest ….I made this top when I first started buttonhole appliqué (10  plus years ago).. ..all the hearts have been appliquéd…the background is just homespun which I had tea dyed…..(the fabric is a little stiff LOL…)…..but I am, going to finish it off………

Wow…what a week…..not much sewing going on…It was a huge week at work last week……but all those long hours were worth it,….. I think……new computer modules implemented..RTA upgrades all in place….new staff, I am very excited, lots of new stuff starting this week….

Our online stitching group, always celebrates each others birthday…this year we are given a names (which is a secret)  and we are to make our friend a gift starting the with the letter of the town that we live in…so I think I was lucky…I had the letter N….so I made for Christine, a notebook and needle case….the stitchery I have used is a Gail Pan design…
