My first softie…

Please meet Dee Dee….a Melly and Me pattern…..this is what I made for my FIS partner Jen, in our recent Softie Swap..…..this was my first attempt at a softie….had a bit of a problem with the tail, but I think it turned out OK…..I must admit I did have fun making this girl once I knew what I was doing……LOL….

I made one for a young friend's baby shower a few weeks back and must admit that I found the pattern a little difficult to understand with regard to setting in the tail - would have been great to have had a little diagram to help out because I thought it was wrong until it came together!

    The trick to making softees is to stuff, stuff, stuff, and when you think you can fit no more stuffing in........do a bit more stuffing!!
