My Tuesday Treasure….

 

Tuesday Treasures (I know it is Wednesday) I am a day late….Clare is hosting this fun little event…this is going to stir up lots of memories I think…. thanks Clare……..So this is my first little treasure…..Her name is “Cupid” and she was given to my by my Great Grandma Hawley when I was born so this little girl is over 52 years old…….My great grandma passed away when I was still very little, so I do not remember her at all…..just check out her poor little fingers, I must have been a little hungry one day….LOL…and her grubby little hands……….so this is the first of my treasures…..why not pop over and sign up with Clare …..  

It has been so cold…..this is what has been greeting me the past few mornings…..”frost” and they have been huge……bring on the heat……

OPAM and some clam shells

They do need a bit of a press but this is a progress shot of my clam shells…..I joined Jossie’s Clam Shell Club, not sure if I am doing these right but I am getting a few done….

My weekend…lots of photos…

We have just returned from visiting our son Chris and his girlfriend Kate they live on the Central Coast…(I didn’t get a photo of the pair of them together on the weekend this was taken at Christmas..

This is his twin brother Josh and his girlfriend Christina…who also came with us..

Chris is a chef and this is were he works……“Garden World” are revamping all their Nurseries by adding an up market “Cafe”…..must be hard for him working in these conditions as well….LOL…

  

 

These are some of the meals we had to force down during the weekend, we did visit lots of eating houses…..…..LOL…

I had the most perfect weekend with all my babies and hopeful future DIL’s….hope you all had a fantastic weekend as well..

It’s another Early Bird…..

 

 

All finished….another Christmas Early Bird gift…

Very quick post this morning we are (that is DH, number three son and his girlfriend and I) are heading off to see number two son and his girlfriend who live on the Central Coast….Number two and three son are the twins and they are having a birthday very soon so we thought we would all celebrate a bit early…..very excited about spending time with my beautiful babies….(LOL who are going to be 26)..

While  I was on my last retreat I did prepare a few more blocks for Butterfly Garden….by Leanne Beasley…9 mini blocks make up each larger block…I have been working on these over the past week and I now have two large completed blocks (18 mini blocks)…..7 more to go I think…

Another completed Early Bird Christmas project….…. I did this stitchery last year, it was from Among the Gum Trees and for some reason I never finished it, but now I  have a wall hanging…….I used my pounce pad to add the decorative bits on the side….I am sure I just said this…but….Wednesday again….

Early Bird Christmas Crafting hosted by the gorgeous Judith…..I have made these book marks to add to my little Christmas stock pile….this was a fantastic idea Judith, thanks so much….

Now for the Early Bird challenge….two fat eights of fabric plus some embellishments…and I think a little stitchery as well…I have a bit of an idea????…more later…

New Project Bag….

 

 

 

 

Another little finish for me, a project bag………….I found these handles on an old bag that I was no longer using…..so I snipped them off and added them to my bag…..I was very proud of myself, recycling………Here it is Monday again, end of financial year is just around the corner……this is a very busy time for me…..(yuk)…

Another folder cover……these are great gifts and it really is a wonderful way of using up leftover fabrics….jelly roll strips are perfect……another glasses/rotary cutter holder….added a self covered button this time using a piece of vintage chenille…Club Quilt today, only 6 of us but we did have a lovely day….I did some stitching on my “Life Is Beautiful” blocks, hope you have all had a great day………

In the sewing room again……

DH has gone fishing…so “Home Alone”…….practicing with the pounce pad again (working on another Early Bird Project)….just love this pounce pad.

 

 

 

Also working on a new project……and I am doing a bit of cross hatching on the back using this awesome little tool “Hera” Marker by Clover…makes doing straight lines a breeze……another must for the sewing room….have a wonderful day, hope you have a chance to get some of the ‘me’ time as well…
