OPAM 2010

 IMG_2834 IMG_2835 IMG_2836

IMG_2837

It has been a good month………OPAM 2010…I have 8 finishes for the Month…..I have not been this motivated for a very long time….so thankyou to all those blogs that I visit each day….and to the 205 ladies who have joined OPAM 2010…

So the end of Feb is just around the corner, so how are you all going with your finishes?…..Kris and I have received lots of emails thank you so much for those as it does make out job a lot easier at the end of each month…….

Club Quilt, which I am a member, have decided this year to run a project called GYMB…(get your mojo back)…..which is basically a club thing to encourage each other to  find that mojo which in some cases has been on holiday….and you should see what the ladies have been making….if you can take a minute please pop over and maybe make a comment it would be very much appreciated…so I encourage other clubs and groups out there to run their own GYMB…as it is awesome to see such inspiration within your own group. and even better, when someone has found that passion that has been a little lost…..

Surprises

IMG_2788 IMG_2784 IMG_2786

What a lovely day……I had a email from Janice this week saying she was coming thru Narromine…and could we catch up…Janice and I had never met, but with bloggers and quilters this really means nothing…… ….so of course I as thrilled to catch up with her and her DH….they are on their way to WA…I explained to Janice that Dale also a blogger, a great mate and lived next door to me would be keen to come along as well….so we decided to meet at the Imperial Stay (coffee shop in town)….so while we were sitting and chatting a young fellow walked in and it was my son Luke, who came home early to surprise his mummy……so here is Luke and I……Dale, Janice (in the middle) and me….and Janice and Mike heading off on their trip, I wish them safe travels and we did have such a lovely hour chatting over a cuppa, and you are right we did not draw breath…..hugs to you Janice, so pleased you emailed me…..how good are bloggers…

All done….

 IMG_2756 IMG_2761 IMG_2760  IMG_2762 IMG_2755

This was yesterdays project….now finished…I was totally inspired by this post from Jenny – Elefantz, how gorgeous are her bags….and this is where the instructions are for this little bag…here….two fat quarters, for the first bag I used some sort of stabilizer but I didn’t like that, and the second bag I used iron on wadding, this worked well for me…..and that's all you need….thanks so much Christina for this wonderful tutorial and to Jen for the inspiration …..so I have decided to make anther one…I will do a post on this when it is finished…

Hope you are having a good day…

Generosity…

IMG_2743  IMG_2740 IMG_2741 IMG_2742

I have been blogging now for two years and during that time I have been and am continually blown away with the generosity of bloggers……and it has happened again…

I received a parcel in the post this week from Razzy….When Kris and I started OPAM 2010 earlier this year, I had an email from Raz saying she would like to send to us some treats that we can use as a give a way for OPAM…and this is what she has sent….Raz both Kris and I thank you so very much for your wonderful generosity, you are one awesome lady…three cheers for Raz….

So OPAMers…..’do ya wanna’ win some of these treats, we do have lots planned over the next 11 months…all you have to do is get those projects finished…so lets get cracking….

The Needle?

IMG_2738 IMG_2737

As Maree would say “what’s in my hoop”.

Yep another little stitchery……I really think I may have a bit of an obsession with stitcheries….but I do find sitting down at night for just that half an hour is so relaxing…I have a very stressful job and I find just picking up that needle doing a few stitches seems to unwind me…what does picking up the needle do for you?

Remember your “me'” time…

  IMG_2726  IMG_2731  IMG_2730

I have just completed this stitchery…and I think I will make it into a bag….this morning I purchased some bamboo handles on line and the fabric range I am going to use is “Revival”….Free Spirit….just a simple little tote bag….what do you think?

Hello…..OPAMers how are all those finishes coming along?

Enjoy your day…Take care Peg…..:>)
