Another Lovely Day...........

Club Quilt today....and it was a lovely day....and we did have a nice roll up.....for morning tea today I made "Caramel, Date and Walnut Slice".....very nice and quick, the recipe is below....
And I had a win....Every month at "Patchwork Plus" .....Sarah has I guess, you could call it a lucky door prize...if you make a purchase your name goes into a draw ...and this month Sarah decided to have an extra draw....and guess what I won...yippee I won this lovely charm pack of these blues....I think a table runner may be the way to go...what do you think....Sarah thank you so very I love them...Sarah has a fantastic online store her service is super fast, please take a minute and pop over and check out her goodies.....
Date, Caramel and Walnut Slice...
1 1/2 cups plain flour
125g butter
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon bicarb of soda
1/2 cup cream
1/2 cup chopped dates
1 cup walnut pieces (100g)
Grease 20cm x 30cm lamington pan (I also line the bottom and sides with baking paper)....Sift flour into a bowl rub in butter, stir in sugar....(I just mix the flour and sugar together melt the butter and stir in)....Press half the mixture firmly over base of prepared pan bake in 190 degree oven for 12 mins..remove, cool slightly...Combine remaining ingredients with the leftover flour mixture, mix well, pour over base cook in a 190 degree oven (moderately hot) for 25 mins...cool in pan...................this is yummo.......
