"Me Day"

This weekend I have decided it is a "Me" weekend....this is my first full weekend off in 6 weeks....still very busy at work, if it wasn't for my dearest friend Dale I think I would have fallen into a heap...thanks for keeping me going Day-day....time to do a finish for Finns Challenge...and this will also mean a completed Xmas present...I am using iron on wadding......quilting with my usual large meander....the fourth photo is of the backing I have used...it was a bit hard matching a thread I was looking in my "pink department", but nothing worked...so I thought OK what else is in this fabric, so I went for a darker thread and I ended up using a brown and it blended perfectly, it always pays to experiment.......all I have to do now is sew down the bind and it is finished......Tomorrow is "Club Quilt" day so it is time to go and cook a slice to take tomorrow and get myself organized.....hope you have all had a fab day and maybe a "me" day as well.......

  3. Oh I love this quilt! Out of curiosity, what kind of machine do you use? I envy your ability to quilt on a sewing machine. I am fine with a longarm, but on my sewing machine at home I can barely sew straight lines most days!

  11. Hey Peg! Hope you're enjoying your 'me' weekend - after working extra hard while your workplace is short-staffed, you deserve the treat of doing your own thing for the weekend! After a week of low energy and feeling a bit 'blah' I've been happily stitching away today, so making some progress! Have fun stitching tomorrow! Bear Hugs! KRIS

  15. Hi Peg - you do some wonderful machine quilting! How do you do those curves? I'm always in a fight with my machine when I try that on a bigger quilt, so I alsways make straight lines. Maybe you have some advise. Love the quilt! ou make so many beuatiful things ^^)

  22. What ovely, plump quilting. Are the gloves to protect your fingers from needle bites?
