How many more????

This is another kit that I purchased from Kerry - 'Cottage on the Hill', as you can see the top is finished and that is as far as I have gone....I think I should count how many of these little things I have tucked away.......

Would love to hear who else has loads of completed tops folded neatly and put away in their cupboards.....waiting for that special occasion..........not sure what it is.........but it will happen.......well thats the excuse I use..........so how may do you have????????....

  2. Oh so it's ok to have unfinished quilts in the cupboard, 'cause I've still got my first quilt I made from Kerry's, not finished.
Then I've got my latest one.
That's only two for me SO FAR, that might change after hanging around you ladies for a while.

  3. I wish my boxes were filled with finished tops, they are not even finished, that’s my problem... I like starting new projects so much... Every Monday I make plans to finish things that week. I’m glad I have a new Monday every 7 days! I feel like a cat catching it’s tale, it never ends (LOL!)

  4. I have several unfinished tops. Like the others, I too always want to start something new and have so many things on the go at once, that I forget what I'm doing and then they get lost under all the excitment in my sewing room.

  5. Thought the fabrics looked familiar, I can see that your machine is going to get lots of practice at quilting very soon. You know old kitchen dressers and meat safes make great quilt cupboards, I have a few LOL

  6. Hi Peg. Yes, I to have boxes of unfinished tops. Not sure how many - I might have to get them out and count. I think I'm a topper because my quilting skills are way behind my piecing ones. Although I love the look of handquilting I just can't get the hang of it. My machine quilting has improved but it's still basically straight line stuff. I also find it difficult to manipulate larger tops on my sewing machine. Just not very enjoyable. So hence, I just start a new project and throw the top in the cupboard. I love the quilting you did on your two charm square quilts. I must learn to do this!
Sorry about the essay but you did ask! Christine

  7. My gosh Peg, I'm wondering how many more you have in hiding. I haven't counted, but I know I have a lot stored in Aussie, not so many here though. Love that border fabric, I seem to be drawn to soft pretty fabrics.

  9. Oh, another beautiful quilt! I really like the triangle border around the squares. The fabrics are wonderful, especially the border. Keep piling them up!

  10. Another beauty. I have to say I don't have any tops laying around, but a lot of unfinishes cross stitch that has to be finished in something.

  12. I love all the quilts on your site - you have a great eye for colour! Yes, I have more quilt tops than completed quilts. The truth is I am just a dreadful quilter but refuse to admit it and just send them out to be quilted professionally, so I just store them in the pretence that one day I will quilt them all. Vanessa

  14. Well, I am afraid to count how many tops I have waiting in various places. You have quite a few - and they are all so lovely. I wonder if you are thinking like me - if there was just a clone of me who got as much machine or hand quilting done as I get pieced - wow - it would be amazing. I suppose I could send them to be professionally quilted?
