I have joined Judith’s Early Bird Christmas Crafting…here is my Journal to record my progress…..I have tried raw edge appliqué on some leftover stitcheries from Christmas (Among the Gum Trees) a bit more practice, but I think I could get to like this…..and bit of cross hatching, one of my new covered buttons.. and I have a cover...……and if you haven’t already joined up for this new venture, why not pop over and have a look at Judith’s blog..

Recipe for “Caramel Date Walnut Slice”

1.5  cups Plain Flour – 125g melted butter – 1 cup brown sugar firmly packed – 1 egg lightly beaten – 1/2 teaspoon bi-carb soda – 1/2 cup cream – 1/2 cup chopped dates – 1 cup walnut pieces

Sift flour stir in melted butter, stir in sugar, press half the mixture into a greased 20cm x 30cm pan, bake in a moderate oven for approx 12 mins…cool..combine remaining mixture with the sifted bi-carb, egg, cream, dates and nuts – mix well pour over base, bake for a further 25mins or until just firm…sour cream can also be used instead of the cream…….enjoy……

Yesterday I showed you the gorgeous bag that Christine had made for me in our recent FIS bag swap, this is the bag that I made for Vix, the pattern I have used has been designed by Cinderberry Stitches, I just love Natalie Lymers patterns…..just wondering should I start a new project today….”Tail Feathers”……LOL…hope you all have a fantastic day..

F.I.S. (Friends In Stitching) This is an online stitching group which I am a member of have just had a bag swap…,,and this is the bag that I received from Christine…I was thrilled, the bag is just gorgeous, thanks so much Christine….perfect bag for carting around all my projects, the fabrics are Allspice Tapestry and Patisserie, which are just so pretty….….the the next couple of photos is a little project I am working on…we are having lots of rain so it is perfect weather for stitching…

Checkout this gorgeous book….when we were on our retreat at Ridgecrest Gail had been given this book and she bought it along to show us…….and the projects in here are just so gorgeous….I purchased my copy of the book from Sarah’s online store..…..fantastic price and great service…

Another Finish..

The baby quilt made for my sons friends is now finished…now in the wash to make it ready for a new baby….we have had come rain which has been fantastic…hope you all have a great day….

Club Quilt day today……it was a lovely relaxing day catching up with the girls….I made a Caramel Date Walnut slice, will post the recipe later this week….Last night I trimmed all the threads on this table runner made last week….this is my version of Hatched and Patched…Funky Flower Tablerunner…

Another finish for me….

 

   

 

 

I finished the bind last night on this table runner this was another project from last weekend on our retreat….so this one is finished to send off to….???????…….made using a jelly roll….Moda-Hushabye….I have also used the jelly roll for the backing….hope you are all having a great day, it is a glorious day here..

From the same fabric range that I made the glasses /rotary cutter case, which is called “ Fresh Cut” I have also made a binder cover, another of my weekend finishes….it has turned quite cold here the last couple of day, it looks like winter is here…
