Special People, Thankyous and Happy New Year……..

  

I have a story…I joined the Advent Swap 2009 and my partner  was Bunny….. unfortunately the parcel she sent to me has not yet turned up, but I am sure it will, poor Bunny was so devastated that it did not turn up by the 1st Dec (she sent it on the 20th Oct surface mail and she was assured it would be here by the 1st Dec) that she quickly put together two more parcels which arrived yesterday..and look what was inside….I am just so touched by what Bunny has done, she had put so much thought and effort into her first box and then she turns around and sends more…the gorgeous box  that opens up is a Victorian Needle Case made by Bunny….how awesome is it?….she really has touched my heart……..huge hug to you Bunny.

Only a few hours of 2009 left ….to all you amazing bloggers out there who visit and make comments thankyou so much, to those lurkers who visit, please leave a comment……to those blogs I visit the inspiration I receive I just can’t put that into words….the swaps and challenges I have been apart of this year, I no longer live in a square I will now have a bash at anything, so you guys are awesome…..so from one very happy little blogger……this world of blogging rocks…….I am joining a friend in 2010 for a …….????????……well you might have to wait till next year  to see what it is????????

Back to work today….oh dear……but I did get a chance to do a little stitching yesterday….will show this project completed in the next day or so….and this is a photo of me with my twin sons, these are my 25 year old babies ……(I still have my apron on and the hair is a mess, LOL…..)

Our online stitching group also had a Secret Santa Swap…and these are all my treasures…made by Cathy…the stocking is awesome….and look at those fabrics, I already have an idea of a project for these and yummy chocolates and a new pattern, I actually have some black and white fabric that I think will be perfect for this…Cathy thank you so very much I truly love my gifts…I have been very spoilt..

These are my awesome SSCS prezzies, made for me by the very talented Laila…….I was very good and didn’t open them until Christmas morning and I was thrilled…just check out that stitching….Laila thank you so very much I do love all my gifts and I will cherish them all….….and to you Miss Chookyblue you have done it again, another successful swap….luv ya heaps…..

Wonderful night last night at our Club Quilt Christmas Party…the food was just so yummy, the prezzies were mind boggling, and the company was ‘perfect’…..this is the gift I received…..this stunning table runner made by Leanne….just check it out, ‘me’ to a T, beautiful choice of fabric and just take at look at Leanne’s perfect stitching, love the use of the variegated thread…….Leanne I am thrilled with my gift thanks so much….

Presents…

Tonight is our ‘Club Quilt’ Christmas Party, for a number of years now you have the option of bringing along a handmade gift……a raffle ticket is given to each person one part of the ticket goes on the gift the other part into a bowl……then everyone has a pick out of the bowl, if you get your number it goes back and you have another pick, then one at a time each person opens their gift…It is a sort of Secret Santa Swap…..so much fun and the gifts….mind boggling…so keep an eye on Club Quilt blog over the next week or so and you can see all the show and tell……above are my handmade gifts……forgot to mention we do have a most delicious meal a baked dinner and dessert before the swapping….and of course a refreshment……LOL

Now this prezzie is for me, I am a member of “Friends In Stitching” and this is my Secret Santa gift… but I have to hold off until Christmas morning to see what's in there…
