Beautiful People...

These are the lovely ladies I spent the weekend withat "Kirk Retreat"...Carol our hostess (top right hand corner pink shirt)...opened her second home to us, their farm, we arrived Friday after lunch and come home this afternoon (Sunday)....what a fantastic weekend we had...lots of laughs, fantastic food, nice refreshments, the best company and of course sewing....and just a few hours sleep....To all the beautiful ladies above, thankyou so much, and to you Carol....luv ya heaps, you are awesome....and to our Pat, hope you are feeling better, we all missed you yesterday.
This was one of my projects...."Sweet Janice", a Janelle Wind Pattern, kit purchased at Cottage On The Hill, Nundle.....I am so pleased with it, really happy with the ric-rac, and I have used Princess Martha's idea of securing the rick rack with colonial knots....

Retreat....and another Angel

Well I think I still have three Angels to do.....but the end of September is just a few days away.....my previous post I had written "Hettie the Homemaker", bit of confusion happening with my H's....she was "Harriet the Homebody"...this is "Hettie at the Hat Shop".....
Today I am heading off on a retreat...for quite a few years now several of our Club Quilt ladies have been going out to Carol's Farm twice a year (we are just so lucky).......we go on Friday and come home Sunday, and we have the absolute best time .......lots of laughs, the best food, a few refreshments and of course lots of sewing.....not a lot of sleep, but enough... lots of photos next week, I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend...

Yippee, mine has arrived....

I received mail....I am lucky my parcel lady delivers any parcels to me at work, so early this morning I received a box...and it was from overseas...Oregon....and inside, look what I found, it was my bag from Linda's Bag/Bucket Swap....Pam has made this most amazing bag for me, I just love the fabrics used, so bright and fresh, just perfect for our lovely spring weather...but there was more inside..a matching tissue holder...a card holder...plus two lovely little note books....and yes there was even more... some yummy chocolates....can you believe all this, I have been blown away by Pam's generosity...thank you so very much Pam, I just love my bag and treats...I am sending you a huge cyber hug...
Linda your swap has been just awesome, thank you so much.

Kind people...

I have received in the post today...a present....this gorgeous bag was given to me by Darlene....
how thoughtful and generous, attached was a lovely card with lots of kind words about the "Finish Five in July Challenge".... Darlene you are a treasure, you have touched my heart with your kindness...hugs to you....I love my bag so much....

Remember my copper box....had lots of great ideas for cleaning and thankyou again to everyone for that...the first picture shows we still have lots of green on the box even after cleaning...(apple cider, bi-card - paste made and apply paste with half a lemon, worked well) the green then disappears if you rub it down with petroleum jelly (second photo) ...still a lot of work yet, but it is looking good...thanks so much to my special friend "Carol" who found this tip for me....
