Please meet “Snow White” (note the hair)..she is my Tuesday Treasure….she is 47 years old…..I received this gorgeous doll for Christmas when I was 5 years old….she was, what was called, a walking doll..she is 30 inches tall so to a little 5 year old she would have been a very big doll…..this is her original outfit which my Mum had made for her…..

I hope you enjoyed meeting my Snow White……

take care Peg……:>)

  19. Hey Peg! Your dolly definitely doesn't look her age ... so well preserved, she must use Oil of Olay! Tee! Hee! Hee! The outfit your mother made for her is lovely - such neat little stitches in the smocking. Though ... I think I've been to the same hairdresser as dolly a couple of times! Tee! Hee! Hee! Thanks for sharing your treasure!! Bear Hugs!

    CHEERS!

  20. what a sweet doll, and the dress is wonderful. Did your Mom do the smocking too? The bonnet is so darling - I love the lace. I had a doll similar to that and a very tiny kid sister. As my little sister grew out of her clothes, they fit my doll perfectly. I wish I had the doll and/or the dresses. Mom made them and they were, as I remember, dreamy organdy dresses with pinafores.

  23. Oh dear - I still have my walking doll around somewhere - although she's long since lost all her original clothing, I think. She must be about the same age as yours.

    Hmmm.....

Now I have to go looking...
