My DH was to take a photo of me wearing this gorgeous apron….but he was not around..This absolute beauty was made for me by my very dear blogging friend Lynda for my birthday yesterday…Lynda and I have not met in person yet, but we chat on a regular basis and it is like I have known Lynda forever…but March 2010 at GDITC we meet in person and we get to catch up on all our hugs….Lynda I love it, such a beautiful gift, just check out the fabric how awesome and the stitchery, everyone must know that I do have a bit of a passion for stitcheries……huge cyber hug Lynda…..xx

Could I also say, thankyou so very much for all the warm wishes and emails that were sent to me for my birthday I did have a great day……

"Handfuls"

Remember this sneak peak I showed you a few weeks back ...this is what it was...a journal cover I had made this one for Tereasa, our online stitching groups latest swap....
Today is such a dirty hot windy day............
Club Quilt, so it was a good way to spend the day indoors...tried a new slice today..I was in the hairdressers the other day and came across this slice and thought now I will make that for Sunday I will remember the ingredients, but guess what couldn't remember them all...
but I did put together this and it was not too bad at all...have not idea what it was called so..
lets call this one...
Yummy Handfuls...
200g chocolate (eating)
100g butter...
melt together on stove over hot water
handful of walnuts chopped
handful of dried 'fruit medley mix" (Angus Park for us Aussies), or a bit more..
handful of dried cranberries
about 100g of Digestive biscuits, broken into small pieces
mix together
stir into chocolate mixture
press into a small lamington tin (does about 3/4 of the tin) line tin with baking paper...
refrigerate
cut into fingers sprinkle with icing sugar
yummo...could make a lovely Christmas Slice..

Inspiration...

I have been inspired again.....this time by my very special friend "Bloom".... and also by Sarah after receiving my amazing journal last night (see my previous post).....so I just had to make one today for a friend of mine......I followed Bloom's tutorial (which has been listed also on the Moda Bake Shop Blog, yes she is that good).....fantastic instructions, so this is my version. The fabric I have used is Moda..April Cornell...Vintage Holiday (can you believe I found this hidden in a bag)....so today I am inspired and it is because of Bloom and Sarah....thankyou...
Its another hot one today....so the only outside things for me today is to move the hose.
